Pauses to go over terminology will likely be frequent in the Grimoire. Since spirituality is a fairly nebulous concept that is ultra-individualized, no two people will experience the same words the same way. Language about spirituality can be imperfect and imprecise, and to complicate things further, similar concepts can be explained with extremely different words. Words also have different connotations and weight, and different people will all have different reactions to them depending on their background, education, and experiences.

Today, I’m going to go over the words “Witchcraft, Witch, Magic/Magick, and Spell.”

Just because I am tending towards the witchier words doesn’t mean that someone who doesn’t vibe with witchy can’t benefit from the spiritual concepts and practices I am sharing here. All that is necessary to craft a spiritual practice that reflects your experiences and desires is to adjust the wording to fit your needs, then start building a personalized practice guided by your intuition. If you’re drawn to a more religious practice, walk in that direction. If you’re drawn to a more secular practice, walk in that direction. Whatever you decide to do, your spiritual walk will be authentic and genuine to who you are.
